Basic Handgun (4 hours) Qualifies for AZ CCW Permit - $225 per person - CLICK TO ATTEND

This class focuses on the basics of marksmanship with your handgun. The emphasis is on proper stance, grip, aiming, and trigger press in order to achieve consistent, aimed fire. Students will be individually coached in the basic before going onto the live fire range.

NRA Basic Handgun (8 hours) Qualifies for AZ CCW Permit - $225 per person - CLICK TO ATTEND

The NRA basics of pistol shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This class is the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA certified instructor from the beginning to end. The instructor led only takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course may be completed in a single day format. Additionally, students will complete a live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA certified instructor. Students will receive the NRA guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a basics of pistol shooting student examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA certified instructor.

This class focuses on teach basics of marksmanship with your shotgun. Range time will begin with pattering your shotgun at 5,10,15,20 and 25 yards and then move on to shooting fundamentals with the goal of being able to shoot single shell at different ranges while maintaining control and accuracy. Students will be individually coached in order to help them achieve this goal.

Samuel Garday - Tactical Firearms Lead Instructor
American Ronin LLC - Owner

Samuel Garday is the owner and lead instructor of American Ronin LLC, a firearms training company that offers courses ranging from basic handgun and carbine to extreme long range (ELR) precision rifle shooting. He has been operating his business for four years, drawing on his 25 years of experience in the military and law enforcement. He aims to help other shooters improve their skills and achieve their goals.

Sam retired as a detective from the Chandler Arizona Police Department, where he held various positions such as SWAT operator, rappel team member, grenadier, sniper, fugitive squad member, narcotics unit member, defensive tactics instructor, and armorer. He attended and certified in numerous law enforcement training courses, including Arizona police firearms instructor (pistol, revolver, shotgun, and rifle), SWAT school (Mesa Police Department), HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) ATOA and GTI, sniper schools (FBI, NTOA, ATOA, GPS Defense), tactical SCBA (Phoenix PD SAU), FBI master rappel school, undercover school (Seattle Police Department), and informant management improvised weapons (Steve Tarani). He was the senior sniper on the Chandler Police Department and assisted with all levels of training from the recruit academy to officer in-service and SWAT, including the shoot house/CQB. He also assisted in department wide firearms and tactics training, including response to active shooters.

Before moving to Arizona, Sam was a law enforcement officer for four years in North Carolina, where he joined the Fayetteville Police Department's emergency response team (ERT aka SWAT) entry team. Before joining law enforcement, Samuel served in the US Army as an airborne light infantryman assigned to the 82nd airborne division at Fort Brag NC. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant after five years of service. He learned and later taught others firearm marksmanship and small unit tactics, including urban CQB.
